Terms of Service

Effective July 2, 2026. English.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Filtro Digital (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms are a contract between you ("user") and the operator of the Service ("Filtro Digital", "we").

2. Nature of scores — OPINION, not a factual verdict

Scores, labels, "Woke Score", "Value Score", axes, and classifications shown by Filtro Digital represent an OPINION consensus of the community and of AI models, and do NOT constitute a factual statement about a work, its authors, cast, studio, publisher, or distributor.

Filtro Digital does not assert that a given work "is" ideologically anything; it presents how audiences and algorithmic analysis perceive the work. Scores may be incomplete, biased, or outdated.

You agree not to make decisions solely on the scores and to release Filtro Digital from any liability arising from decisions made based on the Service.

3. Eligibility and minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you reside in the European Union or in jurisdictions with a higher minimum age (e.g., 16 under GDPR / LGPD for automated decisions), the local minimum age applies.

Users under 18 should use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for their activity. The Service is not directed to children under COPPA / LGPD child rules and does not knowingly collect data from anyone below the minimum age.

4. User-generated content and license

You are solely responsible for content you submit ("User Content", including reviews, votes, scene quotes, comments, and value profiles). By submitting User Content, you represent that you have the necessary rights to do so and that it does not violate third-party rights or applicable law.

You grant Filtro Digital a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display the User Content, including to feed it into AI scoring, train and improve models, synthesize consensus, and republish excerpts or summaries of your reviews in the Service.

For quotes from protected works (dialogue, scenes), you submit only short excerpts in a criticism/commentary context (fair use / fair dealing). You retain moral rights of authorship over original text you write.

Filtro Digital may remove or hide any User Content at its discretion, including for violations of these Terms, the law, or moderation guidelines.

5. Moderation

Filtro Digital may moderate User Content and accounts — including publishing, pinning, locking, removing, suspending, or terminating accounts — to protect the integrity of the Service, curb abuse, spam, vote brigading, hate speech, unlawful content, or violations of these Terms.

Moderation is discretionary and may be automated (including AI and brigade-detection heuristics). Moderation decisions do not constitute a factual statement about a user or a work. Appeals may be requested via our contact channel.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for unlawful or abusive purposes; (b) attempt to manipulate scores, votes, or recommendations (e.g., multiple accounts, brigading, automation); (c) send malware or harvest other users' data; (d) reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the infrastructure; (e) reproduce material from works beyond fair-use criticism/commentary; (f) impersonate others.

Violations may result in account termination, content retention, IP blocking, and reports to authorities, as applicable.

7. Intellectual property

The Service (marks, logos, design, aggregated consolidated scores, text, and code) is protected by copyright and trademarks of Filtro Digital or its licensors. Work metadata and artwork belong to their respective rights holders and are displayed under fair-use limits or via metadata providers.

Consolidated aggregate scores and derived visualizations may be quoted with attribution and a link to the Service, subject to the OPINION clause above.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is", WITHOUT WARRANTIES of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, or non-infringement. Scores are opinions and may contain errors or bias. We do not guarantee continuous availability of the Service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Filtro Digital and its officers, contributors, licensors, and suppliers are NOT liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data loss, or loss of opportunity, arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

Where non-waivable consumer law applies, liability for direct and immediate damages is limited, to the maximum extent lawful, to the amount actually paid by you to Filtro Digital in the six months preceding the event.

10. Clauses — Brazil (Marco Civil da Internet / CDC)

This Service is an internet application provider under art. 9 of Brazilian Law 12.965/2014 (Marco Civil da Internet). Under art. 19, liability for third-party-generated content depends on a specific court order, after notice, subject to statutory prior-liability exceptions (e.g., intimacy violations on indication — art. 21).

Access-log retention is governed by art. 15 of the Marco Civil, per our Privacy Policy and statutory/regulatory timeframes.

If you are a consumer under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (Law 8.078/1990), your non-waivable rights are preserved, including adequate information (art. 6, III), protection against misleading advertising (the OPINION nature of scores is prominently disclosed), and liability for defects and faults within legal limits. Consumer courts remain competent for individual claims.

11. Clauses — United States and other jurisdictions

In the United States, Filtro Digital acts as an interactive computer-service provider (47 U.S.C. § 230) and is not treated as the publisher or speaker of third-party content. Scores constitute protected opinion (First Amendment) and not verifiable factual assertions.

Any dispute will first be handled through binding individual arbitration in the United States (e.g., JAMS), except for claims brought in small-claims court or where arbitration is prohibited by law. Class actions are waived to the maximum extent permitted. The governing substantive law (e.g., the operator's state of organization) governs the merits.

For users outside Brazil and the US, local jurisdiction and non-waivable consumer laws prevail; the opinion, UGC-license, and liability-limitation clauses apply to the extent permitted.

12. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. You authorize recurring charges until cancellation. Refunds follow the payment provider's policy and applicable consumer law; cancel at any time from your account.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. The "last updated" date below reflects the current version. For material changes, we will notify authenticated users in the Service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time from /en/me. Filtro Digital may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, preserving your data deletion/export rights under the Privacy Policy.
