
Promessas de Guerra
Joshua Connor perdeu seus três filhos na batalha de Galípoli, em 1919. Após a morte da mãe deles, Joshua promete que irá enterrá-la ao lado dos filhos. Desta forma, ele viaja até a Turquia decidido a recuperar os corpos deles, para que possa enterrá-los em sua terra natal. Por mais que o país esteja agora em paz, devido à derrota dos turcos para os ingleses, Joshua enfrenta muitas dificuldades para chegar ao campo de batalha onde eles teriam morrido. Ele recebe então a ajuda de Ayshe, uma mulher que está à espera do marido, enviado para a guerra, e de seu filho, o pequeno Orhan.
