Exodus é uma adaptação da história bíblica do Êxodo, segundo livro do Antigo Testamento. O filme narra a vida do profeta Moisés (Christian Bale), nascido entre os hebreus na época em que o faraó ordenava que todos os homens hebreus fossem afogados. Moisés é resgatado pela irmã do faraó e criado na família real. Quando se torna adulto, Moisés recebe ordens de Deus para ir ao Egito, na intenção de liberar os hebreus da opressão.
