A história se passa nos EUA entre 1928 e 1929. O grande desenvolvimento econômico faz com que a ganância domine cada vez mais os seres humanos e este se torna um ambiente ideal para os demônios fazerem suas maldades, pois enquanto fingem ajudar os humanos eles se utilizam destes para os seus próprios objetivos. Para enfrentar tamanho mal a igreja católica criou a "Magdalene Order" cujos membros (padres, freiras e etc) tem a função de exorcizar e destruir estes monstros.
